Sex and God
An Honest Conversation
April 3rd | 7pm | Smith Campus Ministry Center, Room 214
Join us for a panel discussion about sex, consent, healthy relationships, contraception, and the Christian faith that goes beyond abstinence. Too often, American Christianity’s discomfort with sex, biased view of scripture, and assumptions about gender make real, honest conversations about sex impossible. Young adults, on average, become sexually active at 17 or 18 years old, yet many of us never have an opportunity to have meaningful conversations in the context of our churches and places of faith. What would happen if we stopped pretending and talked about seeing, caring, and living out our values inside all of our relationships?
Our topic of discussion will include discussions of gender roles, healthy sexuality beyond marriage, contraception, virginity, and much more. There will be an opportunity for questions.
