WHO WE ARE

The Spartan Open Pantry is a food pantry for UNC Greensboro students, staff, and recent alumni struggling to afford to eat.  Open Monday to Thursday each week, the pantry provides free, high-quality foods for needy Spartans. 

Spartan Mosaic, a Methodist and Lutheran Non-profit at UNC Greensboro, is proud to have founded the Spartan Open Pantry and now oversees its operations. From students who need a little help at the end of the month to homeless students and families who depend on the pantry for complete support, the SOP assists our neighbors who need a hand.

"I moved out because my boyfriend was abusive. I stayed with friends, but I couldn't afford much else. I had to leave most of my clothes and things behind. The pantry helped me get new clothes and food. The dinners are great, and I can tell that the volunteers care."
